Comb out nits every day for 2 weeks
Wash bedding, hats, scarves, and recently worn clothing in hot water
Dry items on high heat
Seal non-washable items in a plastic bag for 2 weeks
Vacuum carpets, furniture, and car seats
Check and treat all close household contacts if needed
Avoid sharing combs, brushes, hats, and pillows
Recheck hair after treatment to make sure lice are gone
