How To Remove Shower Drain?

Turn off the water supply if needed

Remove the shower grate or strainer

Clean out any visible debris around the drain

Check the drain type: threaded, compression, or glued

Insert a drain key or drain wrench into the drain opening

Turn the drain counterclockwise to loosen it
