Wash your hands
Remove the pitcher or dispenser lid
Take out the old Brita filter
Rinse the new filter under cold water if your model requires it
Soak the new filter in cold water if your model requires it
Insert the new filter into the reservoir or filter slot
Press it firmly into place
Fill the reservoir with cold water
Discard the first one or two pitchers of filtered water if required by your model
Reset the filter indicator if your Brita has one
Replace the lid
Use the pitcher or dispenser as normal
