Remove the old weather stripping from the door frame or door edge
Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dirt, adhesive, and debris
Measure the length of each side that needs new weather stripping
Cut the new weather stripping to the correct lengths
Test-fit the pieces before attaching them
Peel off adhesive backing if using self-adhesive weather stripping
Press the new weather stripping firmly into place along the frame or door edge
Nail or staple the weather stripping in place if required
Seal corners tightly so there are no gaps
Close the door to check for even contact and proper sealing
Trim any excess material if needed
Replace any damaged or worn sections as necessary
