How To Replace Wheel Bearing?

Park on a level surface and secure the vehicle

Loosen the wheel lug nuts

Raise the vehicle with a jack

Support the vehicle with jack stands

Remove the wheel

Remove the brake caliper

Remove the brake rotor

Remove the axle nut or hub nut, if applicable

Disconnect any ABS sensor or wiring attached to the hub

Remove the hub assembly or bearing retaining bolts

Press out the old wheel bearing, if required

Clean the hub and knuckle mounting surfaces

Install the new wheel bearing or hub assembly

Torque all bearing and hub fasteners to specification

Reinstall the rotor

Reinstall the brake caliper

Reconnect the ABS sensor or wiring

Reinstall the wheel

Lower the vehicle

Torque the lug nuts to specification

Test drive the vehicle and check for noise or play
