How To Service Carburetor?

Turn off the engine and disconnect the battery

Shut off the fuel supply

Remove the air cleaner assembly

Drain the carburetor bowl

Disconnect fuel lines, throttle linkage, choke linkage, and vacuum lines

Remove the carburetor from the engine

Clean the exterior of the carburetor

Disassemble the carburetor carefully

Remove jets, needles, floats, gaskets, and other removable parts

Inspect all parts for wear, damage, and corrosion

Clean all metal parts with carburetor cleaner

Blow out passages and jets with compressed air

Replace worn gaskets, O-rings, needles, seats, and diaphragms

Check float condition and adjust float level if needed

Reassemble the carburetor using a rebuild kit if available

Reinstall the carburetor on the engine

Reconnect all linkages, hoses, and fuel lines

Refit the air cleaner assembly

Restore the fuel supply

Start the engine and check for leaks

Adjust idle speed and idle mixture screws as needed

Test engine performance under different operating conditions
