Turn off the heater and let it cool completely
Move the heater to a well-ventilated area
Drain any remaining kerosene from the tank
Remove the outer casing or access panel
Lift out the old wick assembly
Clean the wick chamber and surrounding parts
Install the new wick according to the manufacturer’s instructions
Reassemble the heater
Fill the tank with the correct kerosene type
Allow the wick to soak for the recommended time
Test the heater in a safe, ventilated area
Adjust the wick height if needed
Check for proper ignition and flame quality
