Use a hotline or crisis line if you need help deciding what to do next
Ask for a protective order if you are eligible and need legal protection
Keep copies of all reports and case numbers
Avoid confronting the abuser alone if it could put you at risk
Make a safety plan for where you will go and whom you will contact
Seek medical care if you are injured or need documentation
Reach out to a local legal aid service or victim advocacy organization for help
