Open the Instagram app
Go to the story you want to repost
If you are mentioned in the story, tap the notification or open your DMs
Tap Add to your story
Edit the story if needed
Tap Your story to share it
If you are not mentioned, take a screenshot or screen recording of the story
Open Instagram and create a new story
Upload the screenshot or screen recording
Tag or mention the original creator if appropriate
Tap Your story to post it
If the story is from a public account and sharing is enabled, tap the paper airplane icon
Select Add post to your story if available
Tap Your story to share it
Make sure you have permission before reposting someone else’s story
