Back up important files, photos, and documents
Sign out of accounts and deactivate software licenses if needed
Plug in the computer or ensure it has enough battery
Open Settings
Go to System or Update & Security
Select Recovery
Choose Reset this PC or Factory Reset
Select Keep my files or Remove everything
Follow the on-screen prompts
Choose Local reinstall or Cloud download if available
Confirm the reset
Wait for the computer to restart and complete the process
Set up the computer again after the reset finishes
