Check the remote model and the receiver or TV you want to reset it for
Remove the batteries from the remote
Press and hold any button for 10 seconds to drain remaining power
Reinsert the batteries
Press and hold Mute and Select until the green light blinks twice
Enter the appropriate reset code for your DirecTV remote model if required
Press and hold Mute and Enter until the light flashes twice to re-pair the remote
Reprogram the remote to your TV or receiver if needed
Test the remote functions
Replace the batteries if the remote still does not respond
Repeat the reset and pairing steps if necessary
