Back up any important files from Google Drive or external storage
Sign out of your Chromebook
Press and hold Esc + Refresh, then press Power
When the recovery screen appears, release the keys
If needed, choose Powerwash from the sign-in screen
Select Restart
On the reset screen, choose Powerwash
Confirm by selecting Continue
Wait for the Chromebook to reset and restart
Follow the on-screen setup steps after reboot
If the Chromebook is managed by a school or work account, contact the administrator before resetting
