Open the lock using the current combination
Locate the reset mechanism, button, lever, or shackle position required by the lock model
Set the lock to the reset mode according to the manufacturer’s design
Enter the new combination
Return the reset mechanism to its original position
Scramble the dials or test the new combination
Verify the lock opens and closes with the new combination
If the current combination is unknown, contact the manufacturer or a locksmith
