Check the Chat screen for unopened or recently viewed messages before they disappear
Open Snapchat and go to Settings
Tap My Data
Log in to your Snapchat account
Request a data download
Wait for the email with your data archive
Download and open the archive
Review the chat history files included in the archive
Check Memories for saved snaps and stories
Ask the other person to screenshot or resend the message if they still have it
Check if the message was saved in chat before it was deleted
Use a device backup if your phone automatically backs up app data
Contact Snapchat Support if you believe the deletion was accidental or account-related
