How To Ripen Avocados Quickly?

Place avocados in a paper bag with a banana or apple

Fold the top of the paper bag closed and leave at room temperature

Check every 12–24 hours and use when the fruit yields to gentle pressure

If you need faster results, add a warm spot (near a window or on top of a refrigerator)

Microwave (quick ripen): wrap in a paper towel, microwave 10–20 seconds, then check; repeat in 10-second bursts until soft

Avoid overheating; stop as soon as it gives slightly when pressed

Do not refrigerate unripe avocados

For partially ripe avocados, refrigerate to slow further ripening

To ripen cut avocados: keep flesh covered tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate; use within 1–2 days
