Hold the jar firmly with one hand
Twist the lid counterclockwise
If the lid is stuck, run warm water over the metal lid for 20 to 30 seconds
Dry the jar and lid for a better grip
Use a rubber grip, dish towel, or jar opener for extra traction
Tap the lid’s edge gently with a spoon to help break the seal
Pry up the lid edge slightly with a spoon if needed
Open carefully to avoid slipping or spilling
