Place the turkey breast on a roasting rack in a roasting pan
Rub the turkey breast with oil or melted butter
Season with salt, pepper, and desired herbs or spices
Add aromatics such as onion, garlic, or herbs to the pan if desired
Roast uncovered until the internal temperature reaches 165°F in the thickest part
Baste occasionally if desired
Tent loosely with foil if the skin browns too quickly
Remove from the oven and let rest for 15 to 20 minutes
Slice and serve
