Gather supplies: rolling papers, filter (optional), grinder or finely chopped herb, lighter, tray or clean flat surface
Prep the herb: break into small pieces, avoid large chunks
Place filter (optional): put filter at one end of the rolling paper and tuck it slightly in place
Shape a “crutch” (optional): form a small crease line where the filter sits
Load herb: sprinkle a thin, even layer of herb across the paper, leaving space at the far end
Distribute evenly: tap and spread the herb so it’s uniform from end to end
Roll: fold the paper edge over the herb and tuck lightly to form a tube
Tighten: roll forward while keeping the seam aligned; press gently to shape
Seal: moisten the gum line (or use the adhesive strip) and finish the seam
Pack: use a finger or tool to gently pack the joint without crushing it
Test draw: take a light pull to ensure airflow
Trim: cut or pinch off excess at the tip if needed
Light: start at the lit end, rotating slightly for an even burn
Store (optional): keep in a dry, airtight container if not smoking immediately
