Open Settings
Go to Display (or Screen)
Find Screen rotation (or Auto-rotate screen)
Turn Auto-rotate screen On
If rotation is still needed, rotate your device to the desired orientation
If Auto-rotate is Off, toggle it On and retry
For quick access, pull down the Quick Settings panel
Tap Screen rotation (or Auto-rotate) to enable it
On some devices, use the Orientation lock toggle to disable lock
