Unplug the CPAP machine
Remove the mask, tubing, humidifier chamber, and filters
Wash the mask, tubing, and humidifier chamber with warm water and mild, fragrance-free soap
Rinse all washable parts thoroughly with clean water
Air-dry all parts completely away from direct sunlight
Wipe the CPAP machine exterior with a damp cloth
Clean the humidifier chamber daily if used
Empty and refill the humidifier chamber with distilled water each day
Replace disposable filters as recommended by the manufacturer
Wash reusable filters as recommended by the manufacturer
Check the manufacturer’s instructions before using any cleaning method
Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, alcohol, and scented cleaners
Avoid placing the machine or parts in a dishwasher unless approved by the manufacturer
Clean the mask cushion and headgear regularly
Inspect parts for wear, cracks, or discoloration and replace as needed
