Open Google Photos
Select the photos or videos you want to save
Tap the three-dot menu or Share option
Choose Download or Save to device
On a computer, open Google Photos in a browser
Select the items you want
Click the three-dot menu
Click Download
To save all photos, use Google Takeout
Go to takeout.google.com
Select Google Photos
Choose the export format and delivery method
Start the export and download the archive when ready
To back up photos automatically, open the Google Photos app
Tap your profile picture
Turn on Backup
Choose the upload quality and backup settings
