Open the Google Photos app or go to photos.google.com
Sign in with your Google account
Turn on Backup in the app settings
Choose the photo quality and backup preferences
Allow Google Photos access to your device photos
Select the photos you want to save
Tap Upload or Back up now if prompted
Wait for the photos to finish uploading
Check that the photos appear in your Google Photos library
Make sure backup is enabled for future photos
