A bowling game has 10 frames
In each frame, you get up to 2 rolls to knock down 10 pins
A strike is when you knock down all 10 pins on the first roll
A spare is when you knock down all 10 pins using both rolls in a frame
Open frame is when you do not knock down all 10 pins in 2 rolls
Strike score = 10 plus the total pins from the next 2 rolls
Spare score = 10 plus the pins from the next 1 roll
Open frame score = total pins knocked down in that frame
Add the score from each frame to get the total game score
In the 10th frame, you can get extra rolls if you score a strike or spare
A strike in the 10th frame gives 2 extra rolls
A spare in the 10th frame gives 1 extra roll
The highest possible score is 300
