Hold the boxcutter firmly with the blade retracted until ready to cut
Extend only a small amount of blade
Place the blade on the marked line or score line
Apply light, even pressure
Draw the blade along the line in one smooth pass
Repeat with a second light pass if needed
Keep the blade angled slightly and controlled
Avoid pressing too hard to prevent slipping or cutting through too deeply
Retract the blade immediately after use
