Open Instagram and tap your profile picture to create a Story
Swipe left or tap Story to open the camera
Take a photo or video, or upload one from your gallery
Tap the sticker icon at the top
Select the filter or effect sticker if available
Swipe through the available effects to preview them
Tap an effect to apply it to your Story
Use the search bar in the Effects gallery to find a specific filter
Type the filter name, creator name, or keyword
Tap the filter you want to try
Tap Save Effect if you want to use it later
If you already have a Story open, swipe left or right on the screen to change filters
Tap Done or Your Story to post it
