Open the app drawer or home screen
Swipe down from the middle of the screen to open search
Tap the search bar at the top of the app drawer
Type the app, contact, file, or setting name
Use Google Search or the Google app
Open Settings and use the search bar to find phone settings
Use Files by Google or your file manager to search for documents and downloads
Use the Phone app to search contacts and call history
Use the Messages app to search texts
Use Find My Device to locate your phone if it is lost
Enable app search in the launcher settings if search is not available
Use voice search by saying “Hey Google” if enabled
