Remove oven racks, pans, foil, and any loose items
Wipe out loose crumbs and debris
Check the oven manual for self-clean instructions and safety notes
Make sure the kitchen is well ventilated
Lock the oven door if it does not lock automatically
Select the self-clean cycle
Choose the cleaning duration if prompted
Start the cycle and leave the oven alone
Keep children and pets away from the oven
Do not open the door during the cycle
Wait for the cycle to finish and the oven to cool completely
Let the door unlock on its own
Wipe away ash or residue with a damp cloth
Clean the oven racks separately if needed
Reinstall the racks after the oven is fully cool and dry
