Place the dinner plate in the center of each setting
Put the fork to the left of the plate
Put the knife to the right of the plate with the blade facing the plate
Put the spoon to the right of the knife
If using multiple forks, place the smaller fork farther left and the larger fork closer to the plate
If using multiple knives, place the dinner knife closest to the plate
If using multiple spoons, place the soup spoon farthest right
Place dessert utensils above the plate or bring them out with dessert
Arrange silverware in the order it will be used, from the outside in
Keep all silverware aligned evenly with the bottom edge of the table setting
