Turn on the new iPhone and place it near the old iPhone
Make sure both iPhones are connected to Wi-Fi and have enough battery
Keep Bluetooth turned on on both devices
Follow the Quick Start prompt on the old iPhone
Scan the animation on the new iPhone using the old iPhone camera
Enter the old iPhone passcode on the new iPhone
Set up Face ID or Touch ID on the new iPhone
Choose to transfer data from the old iPhone
Keep both iPhones close together until the transfer finishes
Sign in with your Apple ID if prompted
Choose whether to restore apps, settings, and data from iCloud or directly from the old iPhone
Wait for the transfer to complete
Finish any remaining setup steps on the new iPhone
Check that photos, messages, apps, and settings transferred correctly
Keep the old iPhone nearby until the new iPhone is fully ready
