Fix the underlying airbag/SRS fault first
Check the seat belts, seat sensors, and seat connectors
Inspect the passenger seat occupancy sensor
Inspect the clock spring in the steering wheel
Check for damaged wiring or loose connectors under the seats
Check the battery and charging system
Read the SRS trouble codes with an airbag-capable scan tool
Repair or replace the faulty component
Clear the SRS codes with the proper scan tool
If the light stays on, have a qualified mechanic diagnose it
Do not disconnect the airbag system or remove fuses to turn the light off
