Move the blower outdoors to a well-ventilated area
Put on safety gear
Check that the blower has fuel and oil if required
Set the stop switch to the ON position
Engage the choke to the cold-start position
Press the primer bulb several times if equipped
Hold the blower firmly on the ground
Pull the starter rope until the engine tries to start
Move the choke to the half-choke or run position
Pull the starter rope again until the engine starts
Blip the throttle if needed to help it run smoothly
Disengage the choke fully once the engine is running
Let the blower warm up briefly before use
