Wash and peel the carrots
Trim the ends
Cut the carrots into even pieces
Add 1 to 2 inches of water to a pot
Place a steamer basket in the pot
Bring the water to a boil
Add the carrots to the steamer basket
Cover the pot with a lid
Steam until tender, about 5 to 10 minutes
Check with a fork for doneness
Remove the carrots from the heat
Season as desired
