Rinse the cauliflower and remove the leaves and core
Cut the cauliflower into even-sized florets
Fill a pot with 1 to 2 inches of water
Place a steamer basket in the pot
Bring the water to a boil
Add the cauliflower florets to the steamer basket
Cover the pot with a lid
Steam over medium heat until tender, about 5 to 8 minutes
Check doneness with a fork
Remove the cauliflower from the steamer
Season as desired and serve
