Cover the bowl with a microwave-safe lid or plate, leaving a small vent
Microwave on high for 2 to 5 minutes, depending on the vegetable and amount
Stir or check halfway through cooking
Continue microwaving until the vegetables are tender
Carefully remove the cover to avoid steam burns
Drain any excess water
Season and serve immediately
