Open Instagram
Go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Tap Settings
Tap Account
Tap Cellular Data Use
Turn on Use Less Data
If available, turn off Autoplay Videos
On iPhone, open Settings
Tap Cellular
Turn off Instagram mobile data if needed
On Android, open Settings
Tap Apps
Tap Instagram
Tap Mobile Data and Wi-Fi
Disable background data if needed
Use Instagram on Wi-Fi only
Update Instagram if the autoplay option is missing
