Open Chrome

Set it to Blocked
Go back to Site settings
Click Ads
Set it to Blocked on sites that show intrusive or misleading ads
Remove suspicious extensions
Click the three dots
Go to Extensions
Delete any unknown or unwanted extensions
Clear browsing data
Click Privacy and security
Click Clear browsing data
Select Cookies and other site data
Select Cached images and files
Click Clear data
Reset Chrome settings
Go to Settings
Click Reset settings
Click Restore settings to their original defaults
Run a malware scan on your device
Keep Chrome updated
Update your operating system regularly
