Turn off the machine
Raise the presser foot
Raise the needle to its highest position
Place the spool of thread on the spool pin
Put the spool cap on if needed
Guide the thread through the top thread guide
Follow the threading path down the front of the machine
Bring the thread around the tension discs
Pull the thread up through the take-up lever
Guide the thread back down through the lower thread guides
Thread the needle from front to back or as indicated by the machine
Pull several inches of thread through the needle
Place the bobbin in the bobbin case or drop-in bobbin area
Follow the bobbin threading path
Pull the bobbin thread up through the needle plate
Hold both thread tails under the presser foot toward the back
Turn the handwheel toward you to lower and raise the needle once
Pull both threads to the back of the machine
Close any covers or panels
Test the threading on a scrap piece of fabric
