Loosen and remove the old strings
Clean the fretboard and guitar body
Insert the new string through the bridge or tailpiece
Pull the string through the tuning post
Leave a small amount of slack
Bend the string at the tuning post
Wind the string neatly downward on the post
Tune the string to pitch
Repeat for all strings
Stretch the strings gently
Retune until stable
Trim the excess string ends
