Document every incident with dates, times, locations, witnesses, and exact words or actions

Save emails, messages, screenshots, performance reviews, and other relevant evidence

Stay calm and avoid reacting emotionally in the moment

Set clear boundaries and state that the behavior is unacceptable

Use direct, professional language when addressing the person if it is safe to do so

Report the behavior to your manager, HR, or another designated authority

Follow your company’s anti-bullying or harassment policy

Escalate the issue if the first report is ignored or mishandled

Ask a trusted colleague, mentor, or union representative for support

Seek mediation only if it is appropriate and safe

Limit one-on-one interactions with the bully when possible

Keep communication in writing whenever possible

Maintain strong performance and professionalism

Protect your mental and physical health

Use employee assistance programs, counseling, or other support resources

Consult legal advice if the bullying is severe, repeated, or discriminatory

Consider transferring teams or roles if the situation cannot be resolved
