Open Facebook and go to the post, photo, comment, or story
Type @ followed by the person’s name
Select the correct person from the list
Finish your post, comment, or story and publish it
To tag in a photo, open the photo and select Tag Photo or Tag People
Tap or click the person’s face or area in the photo
Enter the person’s name and choose the correct profile
Save or post the tagged content
To tag in a comment, type @ followed by the name and select the profile
To tag in a story, use the Tag People or Mention option before posting
Make sure the person’s privacy settings allow tagging
Use the person’s exact Facebook name if needed
Remove a tag by opening the post or photo and selecting the tag to delete it
