Wash by hand with warm water and mild dish soap
Dry immediately with a clean towel
Stand upright or store in a ventilated area to air-dry fully
Do not soak in water
Do not put in the dishwasher
Scrape off food residue promptly after use
Sanitize occasionally with diluted white vinegar or a mild bleach solution, then rinse and dry
Remove odors and stains with coarse salt and lemon, then rinse and dry
Oil regularly with food-safe mineral oil or board conditioner
Apply oil to all sides and edges to prevent warping
Reapply oil when the board looks dry or dull
Use separate boards for raw meat and other foods if possible
Sand lightly if the surface becomes rough or deeply scored
Replace the board if it develops deep cracks, splits, or persistent odors
