File the shiny top layer of the false nails to break the seal
Cut the false nails down to a shorter length if needed
Protect the skin around your nails with petroleum jelly or cuticle oil
Soak cotton balls or pads in acetone
Place the soaked cotton on each nail
Wrap each fingertip tightly with aluminum foil or use nail clips
Wait 10 to 20 minutes
Check one nail and gently lift the softened false nail with a cuticle pusher or wooden stick
Rewrap any nails that are still firm and wait a few more minutes
Gently remove remaining residue with the pusher
Buff lightly if needed
Wash your hands
Apply cuticle oil and hand cream after removal
