Shut down the computer
Turn off the power supply
Unplug the power cable
Disconnect all cables from the computer
Open the computer case
Ground yourself to discharge static electricity
Locate the video card in the PCIe slot
Disconnect any power connectors from the video card
Remove the screws securing the video card to the case
Release the PCIe slot latch if present
Hold the video card by its edges
Pull the video card straight out of the slot
Place the video card on an anti-static surface
Close the computer case
Reconnect the cables
Power on the computer if needed
