Open TikTok and sign in
Tap Inbox at the bottom
Tap the message icon or a chat thread
Tap the New message button if available
Search for the person’s username
Select the person
Type your message
Tap Send
If you cannot message someone, check that both accounts allow direct messages
If needed, go to the person’s profile and tap Message if the option is available
