Cut a ribbon length about 3–4 times the width of the gift (or 12–18 inches for small bows)
Fold the ribbon into a loop (left loop) and pinch at the center
Make a second loop (right loop) and cross it over the first
Wrap the crossed loops around the pinch point to form a second loop
Pull the ribbon ends through the center opening and snug the knot
Adjust the loops so they are even and shape them into a bow
Trim the ends at an angle (optional) and lightly separate the loops for fullness
Secure the bow to the wrapped item using a twist tie, thread, or a small piece of ribbon tied at the center
