Brush and section a small strand of hair where you want the tinsel
Fold one tinsel strand in half
Place the folded loop against the hair strand
Pull the two loose ends through the loop to create a slip knot around the hair
Tighten gently so the tinsel is secure but not too tight
Tie a second knot if needed for extra hold
Repeat with additional tinsel strands as desired
Trim the tinsel ends to match your hair length if needed
Avoid pulling too hard to prevent breakage
Remove by sliding the knot out or gently cutting the tinsel if necessary
