Turn on your new iPhone and place it near your old iPhone
Make sure both iPhones are charged and connected to Wi-Fi
Keep your old iPhone unlocked
Follow the Quick Start prompt on your old iPhone
Scan the animation on the new iPhone with your old iPhone
Enter your old iPhone passcode on the new iPhone
Set up Face ID or Touch ID on the new iPhone
Choose Transfer from iPhone when prompted
Wait for the transfer to complete
Keep both iPhones near each other until the process finishes
Sign in to your Apple ID on the new iPhone if needed
Turn on iCloud sync for photos, contacts, messages, and other data
Reinstall any apps that do not transfer automatically
Check that your photos, messages, notes, and contacts are on the new iPhone
Remove the old iPhone from your Apple ID if you are done using it
