Connect iPhone to computer with a USB cable
Unlock iPhone and trust the computer if prompted
On Windows: Open Photos app
On Windows: Select Import, then choose From USB device
On Windows: Select photos to import, then click Import
On macOS: Open Photos app
On macOS: Select iPhone in the sidebar
On macOS: Choose photos to import, then click Import Selected or Import All
If you don’t see the iPhone in Photos (macOS): Open Finder
If you don’t see the iPhone in Photos (macOS): Select iPhone in Finder sidebar
If you don’t see the iPhone in Photos (macOS): Click Photos, then enable Sync Photos, then choose which album to sync
Alternatively on Windows: Open File Explorer
On Windows: Select iPhone under This PC
On Windows: Open Internal Storage, then DCIM
On Windows: Copy desired folders or files to a computer folder
Alternatively on macOS: Open Finder
On macOS: Select iPhone in Finder sidebar
On macOS: Open the folder for photos, then copy DCIM contents to the Mac
Use iCloud Photos: Enable iCloud Photos on iPhone
Use iCloud Photos: Enable iCloud Photos on computer (Photos app on macOS, iCloud for Windows on Windows)
Use AirDrop (Mac): Select photos on iPhone, tap Share, choose AirDrop, select Mac, accept on Mac
Use Google Photos/Dropbox/OneDrive: Upload from iPhone app, then download on computer
Disconnect only after transfer completes
