Seek immediate emergency medical care

Confirm diagnosis with pelvic ultrasound and blood hCG testing

Use methotrexate if the pregnancy is unruptured and the patient is stable

Monitor hCG levels until they return to zero after methotrexate

Perform laparoscopic surgery if the tube is ruptured, the patient is unstable, or methotrexate is not suitable

Remove the ectopic pregnancy with salpingostomy or salpingectomy as indicated

Give Rh immunoglobulin to Rh-negative patients when appropriate

Treat shock or heavy bleeding with IV fluids and blood transfusion if needed

Follow up closely with repeat hCG testing and clinical assessment
