How To Tune The Carburetor?

Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature

Check and clean the air filter

Inspect spark plugs, fuel lines, and vacuum lines

Locate the idle speed screw and mixture screws

Turn mixture screws gently to the factory baseline setting

Start the engine and let it idle

Adjust the idle speed screw to the recommended idle RPM

Turn the mixture screws slowly in small increments

Find the smoothest idle position for each mixture screw

Re-adjust idle speed after mixture changes

Blip the throttle and check engine response

Fine-tune until idle is steady and acceleration is smooth

Recheck for fuel leaks and loose connections

Test drive and make final minor adjustments if needed
